TRAVEL SNAPSHOT

Greece is a true dream travel destination for so many people. From the ancient Greek temples in Athens, the stunning black-sand beaches of Santorini, the crazy party life of Mykonos, to the northern charming towns filled with fascinating history, there is an unlimited amount of things to enjoy.

IMPORTANT INFO

Language: The official language of Greece is Greek. Many locals speak English.

Currency: Greece’s national currency is the Euro (EUR). As of 2022, $1 = 1.13 euros.

Money: Many places in Greece accept international card, especially in tourist hotspots. However, I definitely recommend carrying cash- sometimes tourist buses only accept small cash. There are ATMs all over available to withdraw from.

Electric: Greece operates on a voltage of 230V and a standard frequency of 50 Hz. Plugs types are C, and F. I recommend having a universal adapter.

Safety: Greece is completely safe to travel to. Always watch out for pickpocketing- I have heard quite a few stories of this happening, especially in tourist destinations.

Weather: The best time to visit Greece is late spring or early fall (May-June or September-October). Places can get packed during the summer and the weather is a bit more mild this time of year.
