Entry Seven

Woke up 7am naturally–pretty sunrise moment. I ACTUALLY slept good outside. Packed up my stuff and hit the road. My body was so sore, but I kept pushing. Stopped for coffee on the way in a little town called Azorpa and Cuervodad or something.

Went through Santa Domingo and kept going, almost sat at a table but a lady ran to take it instead.

Made it to Gorono. Showered. Best hot shower ever

Went out to get some tea and a stamp at the place called “my way”.

Went back and got super sick suddenly.

I was shaking violently and threw up, I was very scared.

The Italian guy running the albergue who was cooking dinner made me special pasta without sauce. He tried to comfort me, I think he thought I was mentally unwell, not physically.

Went to dinner with the whole albergue and it was sooooo lovely.

There was a couple from Poland, a cute girl with short hair and a guy. They were quiet I think, because not great English.

There was a talkative old sassy Swiss man who loved Maine and gave me lots of advice

Bro and sis from the Netherlands. Couple of Spanish guys, a Mexican guy, an Italian girl who was sweet. French girl and rough-looking French guy (Swiss guy didn’t like him hahaha).

Good squad, we all talked and ate pasta.

Then they all went for a smoke and I stayed sitting bc I was tired and sick.

Then talked to the Swiss man for a while about the Camino. He made a sarcastic joke that I came to the Camino after watching “The Way” movie, but I told him it was actually a book. He liked that a lot better the lil bitch.

Finally had a convo that wasn’t about the convo woohoo.
