Plato and Ben Franklin both agreed on the same point: souls are indestructible.

Souls, if they exist, are a form of energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. So, where does it go when we die? The question remains unanswered.

Scientists have barely begun to understand anything about human consciousness. They hardly even know how the brain works.

One thing we do know is that consciousness is separate from physical reality. It is an abstraction that exists within the folds of our minds.

We define ourselves by our life experiences. That is our ego. But our true conscious self is much more unclear.

Max Planck, the father of quantum physics, once said, “All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.”

In other words, it is not consciousness that depends on our physical reality, but the opposite. Physical reality depends on our consciousness.

Without consciousness, would anything exist? It reminds me of that super annoying question: if a tree falls in the woods and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
